Fastball Comedy Festival Headliner Dave Chappelle Adds Second Madison Square Garden Show

Due to overwhelming demand, Dave Chappelle, who headlines the closing night of the inaugural Fastball Comedy Festival in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday, October 18, today announced a second New York City show at MadisonSquare Garden on Saturday, November 7. The newly added date is part of the 22nd annual New York Comedy Festival, joining Chappelle’s previously announced opening-night performance at the festival on Friday, November 6. The Fastball Comedy Festival will turn Sloan Park, one of baseball's premier Spring Training venues, into a two-day comedy destination onOctober 17 and 18. Produced in collaboration with Bruce Hills Entertainment and Wrigley Field Events, the festival will feature a main stage in center field with a distinct lineup each night. Before heading to Mesa, Chappelle will perform a benefit showon Friday, September 25, at historic DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.,supporting his alma mater, the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, andspecifically funding The Donal Leace Endowment for the Theater Department—theprogram Chappelle trained in as a student. These events are phone-free experiences.Phones, smartwatches, and accessories are not permitted in the performance space. On arrival, guests will secure these devices in individual Yondr pouches, which  are unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within thevenue. Devices must be re-secured in Yondr pouches before guests return to the performance space. Anyone seen using a device (phone, smartwatch, or accessory)during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.
