Record-breaking ticket sales for a pre-school family play in the UK
Bluey’s Big Play has reached a major touring milestone, selling more than 650,000 tickets across two UK & Ireland tours and setting a new UK record for a pre-school family play.
The hit theatrical production has played 66 venues across the UK & Ireland, alongside multiple engagements across Europe, bringing Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli from the screen to the stage for hundreds of thousands of families. This makes it the best-selling pre-school family play in UK history, as verified by the Society of London Theatre.
The latest UK & Ireland tour came to a close at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, with a special visit from the Australian Ambassador to Ireland providing a fitting final moment for the Australian-born phenomenon.
Peter Taylor, Cuffe & Taylor, said:
“What’s been really special about Bluey’s Big Play is seeing the joy it’s brought to families everywhere we’ve taken it. Bluey has become one of Australia’s great exports, connecting with families all over the world, so having the Australian Ambassador join us for one of our final shows in Dublin was a brilliant way to round off an incredible tour.”
Bluey’s Big Play is produced by Andrew Kay and Cuffe & Taylor with Windmill Theatre Co for BBC Studios.
