Musically Fed, the national nonprofit that partners with the live event industry to fight food insecurity, today announced it has rescued and repurposed its one-millionth meal, including donations from Live Nation venues and events.
Founded in 2016, Musically Fed mobilizes the music industry in the fight against hunger by working with artists, promoters, management teams and venues nationwide to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations serving people experiencing homelessness, hunger and food insecurity.
“Live Nation has been proud to support Musically Fed and donate unused backstage meals through our venues and events,” said Terry Burke, Live Nation Southwest Regional President. “We never envisioned it would evolve into the organization it is today. Reaching one million meals is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to Maria’s persistence and tireless commitment to helping people facing food insecurity. On behalf of Live Nation, we congratulate and thank Maria, her team, Musically Fed’s board and the volunteers who give their time and effort to support neighbors in need.”
